A brand that I love!

Oh Solvil et Titus! A legendary name in Swiss watchmaking, was founded in 1887 by Paul Bernard Ditisheim (1868-1945), long revered as the originator of modern chronometry. “Solvil” refers to the village of Sonvilier on the Swiss side of the Jura Mountains, where a factory produced meticulously crafted watch components; while “Titus” pays tribute to the Roman emperor in the first century AD.

I really love to see this watch because it's really attract my attention. It's so beautiful and fancy watch. It's really nice to wear and suit to everyone. I only dream to wear it but I know that one fine day I'll wear it. I really attract to the design, the beads look so shiny, the colour look so classic mix with the white line. The brand name in the middle of the watch make the watch more gorgeous. It's so perfect with the date, day and seconds in the middle of the watch. I think when I'm wear it, it must be so cool in my hand. Sometimes, when we have a beautiful watch, we will appreciate the time and not waste the time. People say that the dream will come truth. I believe that when I've a great work one day, I'll buy it for myself.

HUMAN RELY ON TECHNOLOGY SO MUCH IS BAD

Nowadays, people depends too much on technology. In today's society, people use computers in business, education and in the entertainment world. Almost everything we do and every aspect of our life is affected by modern technology with computers at the top of the list. People obsess our technology. The technology do everything for us so we don't have to use our brains anymore. People are losing their jobs due to the computers moving into the workplace. They are making society dumber by the day. Society today is too dependent on technology because we use them for everything, we don't have the social interaction that we once had and technology makes us lazy.

The fact is technology has a lot of issues including the possibility of being hacked and the challenge of glitches and errors that are bound to happen. I fear that we are over relying on technology thinking that in the future we won’t have to do anything for ourselves. The question is, will our over reliance on technology come back to bite us in the future?

If we rely solely on technology for things like automating farming or operating autonomous cars, what happens when the technology breaks down or it gets hacked? If we put too much reliance on technology alone I worry that it will make us less human or distort our reality. We don’t take things at face value anymore, we are moving away from making judgements and decisions on our own by using our senses and thoughts. Instead we are looking at the world through the eyes of data and algorithms and basing our decisions on what technology tells us.

3 BEST MEAL YOU MUST TRY IN JOHOR!

Mee Bandung is a famous traditional cuisine and food from Muar, Johor, Malaysia which is my hometown! The word 'bandung' in its name stems from the meaning of the word which means double or twin or paired where something is coupled or mixed with something else.

For Mee Bandung, it is a pair of noodle and egg dishes only when it was so called, along with a mixture of chili and onion with spices, shrubs and dried prawns ; before it is now supplemented by additional ingredients such as shrimp, meat, fish cakes and vegetables now. It is also more popular and commonly known as Mee Bandung Muar which has became a popular and favourite food all over Malaysia although it is acknowleged that many original Mee Bandung originated from Muar is still the best.

Laksa Johor is a dish that combines coconut milk, using kerisik, asam gelugur, dried prawns, lemon grass, galangal and spices akin to curry. The garnishing comprises slices of onion, beansprout, mint leaves, Viatnamese coriander or daun kesum, cucumber and pickled white radish. Sambal Belacan is a kind of chili paste that is placed on the side. Before eating, freshly squeezed lime juice is sprinkled on the dish. Unique to Laksa Johor is its italian connection-spaghetti is used instead of the normal rice noodles or vermicelli. Laksa Johor has been declared a Malaysian heritage food by the Malaysian Department of National Heritage.

If you are in Johor, then you must try Kacang Pool Haji at Johor Bahru. It is the best to try it as your breakfast. As this dish is adapted from the Middle Eastern way of eating fava bean, I think the name Kacang Pool most likely got its name from the Egyptian word foul for fava bean.

Kacang Pool can be described as the Johor version of chili con carne, a foul bean and minced beef stew that is savoured with chunks of toasted bread. This stew is served topped with sunny-side-up egg, chopped freah onions and fresh green chillies with freshly squeezed lime.

This top three favourite dish that I love to try when I am in Johor is the recommended one for the tourist to try our local food.

SAYANGI MALAYSIAKU!

' Sayangi Malaysiaku ' is 2018's theme for National Day celebration that our Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, have been announced at the cabinet meeting on 30 May 2018.

This logo means that multiracial Malaysian citizen that lives in a peace, united and cherished the love of the country. This logo was created by Nik Zulkifli Nik Hitam that have been choosen 25 July 2018.

We need to be proud of our Malaysia because Malaysia is one of the country that contain multiracial. We lived in peace for a long time and we respect each other without any cultural differences.

Since our independence 61 years ago, the country's tremendous stages are something that we should be proud of. Not only it is the subject of its advanced architecture, the economics and technology that Malaysia has among the most advanced in Southeast Asia, but Malaysia is also an example to other countries.

Undeniable the beauty of Malaysia lies in its strategic location. Attractive tourist locations such as islands and historic places make Malaysia among the top 10 countries visited by the tourists each year.

Malaysia is located on the Equator line which is one of the strategically located locations. Not located in Pacific Fire Circle, Malaysia is spared from volcanoes and does not face the earthquake, often making Malaysia among the safest countries to occupy.

In conclusion, we should love Malaysia as our theme of independence this year. Indeed we are very lucky to be part of the Malaysian.

FOR THE PERSON THAT I APPRECIATE THE MOST

MY PARENTS ; IZYAN SYAKIRAH

" What it is like to be a parent : it is one of the hardest things you will ever do but in exchange it teaches you the meaning of unconditional love " , by Nicholas Sparks.

Parents are the closest people that we have in our lives, whether we realize it or not. They love us not because we are smart, beautiful or successful, but just because we are their children. I love my mom and dad simply because they are my parents, but I think I would have felt the same even if they weren't. I love who they are as people, together, forming an amazing super-team that's made me who I am today and taught me what life is all about.

My father is a friendly, funny, workaholic and calm when some incident happends between our family. He made a wise decision after thinking rationally.  He loves to jokes around with people to make people feels comfortable with him. He is not the one to verbalize emotions, but he always shows his feelings through sweet gestures and little suprises. I love my father for all these characteristics and for all he's sacrificed to build a better life for us. I appreciate my dad because he taught me that you cannot have it all in life, but with hard work and dedication, you can have what matters most to you.

My mother is a cheerful and perfectionist person. She never afraid to speak her mind and she can be very convincing when she wants to. Sometimes she get upset very easily but she just as quick to forgive and forget. My mom have been through a lot throughout the years, but she always keep fighting. She taught me to never lose hope even in the direst of moments, and she showed me to look of happiness in the small things. I appreciate my mom for all that she has done for me , and for all that she has taught me.

My mom and dad can be very different but they complement each other perfectly. They formed a super-team to educate their childrens. Together, they taught me to believe in myself and have turned me into a fighter.

I appreciate my parents because they are my heroes, my safe haven, my pillar of strength. I am who I am today, thanks to them. All I can hope is that when I have a child, I will be a good parent as they were to me.

ABOUT US.

US.

Some small fishes are swimming at dusk,
Frolicking in groups among the reed,
A warm welcome from us,
Specially for you the wishes indeed.

Hi! My name is Izyan Syakirah binti Ahmad Nawi and I am a pure Johorean. I am geting 18 years old by 19th November 2018. Muar, Johor is my hometown and I have been there since I was born into a little happy and peaceful family with 6 members.

I am a person who is positive about every aspect of life . There are many things that I like to do and I would like to experiece. I would love to hike with my family members and I would like to create my own dream house to live with my beloved family. I love to enjoy a breathtaking views such as sunrises and sunsets, flock of birds flying through the blue sky, spacious paddy fields at noon and more.

I am also a bit of hoarder. I love to collect things that contains memories of mine such as my first ticket movie, my printed pictures with my beloved family and friends, my watches and so on.
I always wanted to be an athlete since I started to join Taekwondo Club at age 6 years old with my older brother. After that I started to be one of my school former athlete and joined a bunch of sports such as netball, track and field, handball and so on. I continued my interest in sports until I am 17 and I am in charge to take care of my teammates since I am a captain of my school netball team. My coach had given me the chance and trusted me to take the burden as a captain to take care of my fellows. When the sports season ended, I started to realise that for me, sports can’t be the main source of income for me in the future. For me, sports is only a hobby that needed to cultivate in everyone’s life in order to live in a healthy way.

So I started to focus on my studies and Alhamdulillah I passed the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) test with flying colours. When I decided to future my studies in KPTM Bangi, I realise that I needed to compete with each of the students in order to achieve a bright future. I need to place a smile at my parents' face when my graduation's day has come. I need to achieve my life goals which is i have a bunch of them.

So, this is a brief introduction of myself.

Hi! My full name is Nur Huda binti Sulaiman and now I live in Muar, Johor same like my best friend, Izyan. Actually, I come from another city - Kuala Lumpur, where I lived for 6 years, but 12 years ago, my dad had to be transferred to Pusat Latihan Khidmat Negara (PLKN) Muar, Johor to continue serving the country, and we all moved to Muar, Johor. I have 4 siblings but Allah loves my cute younger brother more than us. He has passed away about 7 years ago when he was 9 years old because of the vehichles incident. And now, I only have 5 members in my family. I have a brother – Harith. He is 23 years old now and working as a technician at boundary of Singapore. Next, I have a sister – Hanis. She is 19 and still studying the accounting courses at the same places like me at Kolej Polytech-Mara (KPTM) Bangi. My dad works as an army but he was retired about 11 years ago. My mom is a teacher. She is a very experienced in becoming a teacher who has been around for 25 years and is still pursuing the struggle until now.

My favourite things that I love to do is baking. And when I’m typing now I miss all my ingredients of baking such as flour, sugar, butter, eggs also the oven so much. After my Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination was done I’ve fully take care of my house since I’ve nothing to do before I’m continuning my studies. When my mom was working, I’ve spent a lot of my time in the kitchen. I’ve opened up the menu and I try it well. From that, I’ve been thinking that one fine day I want to open up the café by myself. I’ve decided to manage the café all by myself and that’s why I’ve continuing the accounting course here in the KPTM because I can teach all my workers how to manage the money so well till get the best profit ever. Wow! I’ve really hope that the dreams will come truth. God Willing.

My goals is I want to graduate before my mom and dad close their eyes forever. I’ve pray everyday that I had time to hold the scroll on the stage in front of my beloved parents and see their smile beautifully. *tears* I’ve really hope that I can be the best daughter ever to my parents till my last breath. One quotes that my mom always reminder when I’m far away from her is “Allah is with you”.
